Zostavax is a shingles vaccine that falls outside of the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. In other words, lawsuits may be brought for product liability against the manufacturer, Merck. There are currently dozens of lawsuits filed in state courts as well as federal district courts. Recently, Merck has filed a motion to establish an MDL. Currently only a handful of firms have been working together to further this litigation, but it is anticipated that significant number of additional firms will join the fight with news of the MDL. The goals are to educate those considering representing plaintiffs injured by Zostavax, to coordinate efforts that are being made across the nation, and to discuss issues that may arise during the litigation.

- Meetings: The Group meets at AAJ Annual and Winter conventions.
- Membership: The group is limited to Regular, Life, Sustaining, and President's Club AAJ members plaintiff's counsel and paralegal affiliates.
- Dues: $200 attorney/$100 for members from the same firm.
