Reach the highest level of honor for completing a rigorous curriculum of seminars, colleges, conventions, and webinars.


Go above and beyond! Diplomates have attended over 400 hours of NCA credit, including ATLA’s Ultimate Trial Advocacy Course.


Set yourself apart from the crowd by completing over 200 hours of CLE credit with AAJ Education.

The goal of this program is to build and develop professional knowledge through a continuing commitment to improving members' trial skills and understanding of substantive law. The Masters of Trial Law program honors AAJ Members who have shown dedication to their clients and commitment to the civil justice system through a rigorous curriculum of trial skills and legal specialty courses.

To achieve status with AAJ’s Masters of Trial Law program, members attend any AAJ Education seminar, college, convention, or webinar and submit the provided certificate of attendance to show completed CLE hours.

Fellows are recognized after attending over 200 hours of qualifying credit with AAJ Education.

Diplomates complete at least 400 hours of qualifying credit with AAJ Education, including participation in ATLA’s Ultimate Trial Advocacy Course.

Champions attend a set of trial advocacy programs, legal specialty programs, and AAJ conventions in order to strengthen their knowledge and skills and become a better advocate for their clients. Champions must complete 4 trial skills programs, 7 substantive programs, at least one AAJ convention, and ATLA's Ultimate Trial Advocacy Course.

Trial Advocacy College Scholarship

In memory of long-time member Paul Scoptur, the National College of Advocacy offers scholarships for AAJ members to attend trial advocacy colleges throughout the year. Recipients are awarded complimentary tuition and credit for travel costs.
