Women Trial Lawyers Caucus (WTLC) Convention Scholarship

Applications for the 2026 scholarship are due May 15.

 

Awarded by AAJ's Women Trial Lawyers Caucus (WTLC), this scholarship was founded in 2026 to provide members who support the mission of AAJ and the WTLC community with the opportunity to attend AAJ Annual Convention, where the recipients have the opportunity for professional development, growth of their professional networks, and more engagement with AAJ. AAJ's conventions are the best ways to connect AAJ trial lawyers plus offers unparalleled community, networking, and education.

The scholarship will cover registration, hotel, and travel for AAJ's Annual Convention, to be booked by AAJ.

Scholarship Criteria

This scholarship is open to any plaintiff attorney who:

  • Is a current member of AAJ
  • Is one of the following:
    • First-time AAJ Convention attendee
    • Experiencing recent financial or other hardships
    • Has undergone a job change or employment transition that limits the ability to attend AAJ Convention, such as moving to a position without professional development support
  • Demonstrates a commitment to support the missions of AAJ and the WTLC community
  • Commits to attend Annual Convention, a mix of caucus events, continuing legal education (CLE) sessions, and other practice-related meetings or events of interest

Application Process

To submit your application, complete this online form and upload the following documents:

  • Resume
  • Attach a brief letter explaining your interest in getting involved in the American Association for Justice and supporting the efforts of the WTLC. Describe, if applicable, any challenges and/or hardships you have faced in your professional pursuits including your individual socioeconomic status, your geographic background, or your history of overcoming other forms of adversity. 

Incomplete applications will not be considered. Applications for the 2026 scholarship are due by May 15.
