Retired plumber develops asbestosis
April 6, 2021A 72-year-old retired plumber and marine engineer with no smoking history, who previously worked at Hunter’s Point Naval Shipyard and San Francisco Bay-area hospitals and schools, developed asbestosis.
He sued various defendants, including Keenan Properties and Ocean Shore Iron Works Steam and Plumbing Service Corp., seeking damages for his injuries and the costs of medical monitoring.
The plaintiff settled with all defendants before jury selection for more than $750,000.
