Sexual assault
March/April 2021Rebecca Miller, 41, received chiropractic care from Jongmin Lee at the Bakke Chiropractic Clinic. During a routine visit, while Lee was massaging Miller’s pectoral region, he allegedly placed his hand inside her bra and touched her breast. Miller suffered emotional distress and now avoids chiropractic care.
Miller sued Lee and the clinic, alleging negligence and sexual assault.
An arbitrator awarded $50,000. The court later granted the defendants’ request for trial de novo
