Road Rage: Taking on the Aggressive Commercial Driver
When hostile and combative commercial drivers get behind the wheel, they operate up to 80,000 pounds of high-speed, lethal machinery. Their aggressive driving can jeopardize the safety and lives of everyone on the road. These escalating and dangerous choices can include using offensive and angry gestures, excessive and alarming honking, and deliberately speeding up and slowing down to prevent other drivers from passing. This destructive behavior can endanger lives, tears families apart, and causes lasting physical and psychological trauma.
Road rage can result in tragic crashes and difficult cases involving multiple commercial and personal vehicles, complicated independent contractor and insurance issues, and triggering memories for traumatized survivors. This Litigation Packet was developed by the AAJ Exchange to aid AAJ members investigating and pursuing cases related to aggressive driving and includes valuable tips, strategies, and resources for bringing hostile, combative, and aggressive commercial drivers to justice in cases resulting in serious injury or death.
