Dangerous traffic lane height differential
October 2025Doe was a passenger on a motorcycle operated by her husband. As the two traveled through a construction zone on an Illinois highway, Doe’s husband attempted to change lanes and encountered an alleged height differential between the two lanes of traffic. He lost control of the motorcycle, and Doe was ejected. She suffered catastrophic head trauma in the incident.
Doe sued her husband for negligent driving and undisclosed construction companies for creating the height differential and failure to warn.
The parties settled for $24 million.
